Party and Function Band - The Musicians And Singers

Back from Cairo

Over the coming months we will be giving you an insight into some of the fantastically talented musicians and singers, which perform regularly with party band Metropolis. At the end of 2011, after 7 fantastic great years at the helm, male vocalist Andy Skimming moved on to pastures new. Just back from the bands first high profile international gig in Cairo we’d thought we introduce the latest addition to the fold:

Good bye Andy... Welcome Nick!

Joining the bands regular lineup is exciting and experienced frontman Nick Ingram. Nick trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London and upon leaving, worked professionally in the West End, nationally and on various tv projects.

Island Records & Sony Music Publishing

In 2007, Nick resurrected his love of songwriting and began co-writing an album which instantly struck a chord with the UK music industry. Nick and his song-writing partner then formed duo The Yeah You's, signing to both Island Records and Sony Music Publishing. In 2009, The Yeah You's achieved a number 3 AirPlay hit and 2 UK top 40 singles. The band performed at a series of high profile gigs and festivals that summer and made a string of Tv appearances on programmes such as GMTV and Loose Women.

Very excited....

Today, Nick continues to write songs for other artists and we are incredibly excited to bring him into the Metropolis family.
