Debbie: One thing I'd say about Metropolis is, without a doubt, you are not setting your ways and you don't expect the customer or your clients to mold their way around your set. You do listen, and you do take the time to understand them and their ways. And get to know them as a couple and really try and work around them.Kyle: My thing would be to ask the band-- you know, put forward what you like and what you dislike and the band will come up with a set that works.Debbie: For you.Debbie: I think for us, you guys got on board with the serious side, but also the tongue and cheek side. And, you know, when we met with other bands and discuss what we were looking at, they weren't having any of it. They weren't happy with our bad sides.Kyle: They were just setting their ways.Debbie: It had to be done their way. And even when we wanted our parents to go in... The young bands weren't entertaining any of it. Where as you guys got involved and actually came up with the songs and came up with ideas and you got into the spirit of it all.Debbie: But the versatility, I think, from the Huppah... and then also when you had your jamming sets, where when we were eating and it wasn't dance time and the kids were dancing and playing. It was lovely because there was some music.Kyle: But it wasn't blasting out. Like, the people in the hall-- you could still have a conversation, it wasn't, you know, it wasn't kind of in-your-face disco-y.Kyle: Also they're very good with the timing. They know when the tempo should be lifted, the volume should be lifted or downed.Debbie: Personally I think you guys were amazing from start to finish. It was exactly what was expected if not more.
